Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov joked in response to a journalist's request during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
It happened during a joint photo session. The journalist asked Lavrov to stand on the red mark on the floor so that the diplomat would not block the Russian flag. "You see what you see. Don't tell us what to do," Lavrov said ironically.
Journalists and members of the delegations of the countries laughed, and Cavusoglu himself noted that he liked the joke of the head of the Russian foreign ministry.
Sergey Lavrov arrived for a meeting with Mevlut Cavusoglu the night before. The talks of the foreign ministers will be held in Antalya. The ministers will discuss the situation in Transcaucasia, Ukraine and the Black Sea region, the settlement of conflicts in Syria and Libya, military-technical cooperation between Moscow and Ankara, as well as the establishment of production of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus in Turkey.
